WHAT DOES THE MEDIATOR DO?

First and foremost the mediator will always remain neutral. The mediator does not represent any party in the mediation. He or she has a vested interest in resolving the problem.

The mediator will guide you through the process and help you identify and clearly state the issues to be negotiated.

Mediators assist you in gathering the necessary information you may require in order to make informed decisions.

The mediator will make sure that the process is fair at all times, and will speak out if an agreement reached is clearly not fair and not in the interest of one or more of the parties.

The mediator will assure that all parties have an equal opportunity to clearly express their needs and concerns.

Mediators provide assistance in developing creative solutions that are tailored for your unique and specific needs.

You will be helped to make decisions in order to reach a full, complete and acceptable solution.

You will create an agreement, which is acceptable to you. The mediator cannot and will not impose a resolution for you. You are always in control of the process.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Conflict is painful, creates stress in our lives, breaks down relationships and often reduces our productivity.

Our philosophy at The Mediation Group is simple. We believe we can help you to reduce your stress level, work out your conflicts and keep your expenses to a minimum in a short period of time. As a result you will create a win-win agreement which will position you to move on with your life more effectively.

We accomplish this by helping you over the hurdles, while keeping you in control of the process. We encourage you to communicate your thoughts and needs clearly, while exploring options and moving toward an agreement you are comfortable with.

Our office environment mirrors our philosophy. It is relaxed, informal and private fostering a stress reducing atmosphere.
